Monthly Newsletter – November 2018
Wow, it is hard to believe November is here!
We hope you were able to join us for our annual Trunk or Treat event! We had such a great turnout for both locations and we will continue to make these events better each year. If not, don’t worry, we have many fun events planned again this year. Up next we have our 5th Annual APA Community Christmas Party on Sunday, December 2nd at our Oak Creek location. This is also open to the public, so bring a friend! We hope you can join us! More details are below!
Don’t forget we close for Thanksgiving Break on Wednesday, November 21st-Sunday, November 25th. You can check out our calendar online or ask the front desk for an extra copy! We hope each and every one of you have a very Happy Thanksgiving with good food and great company! Thank you for being a part of our APA family. As always, if you need anything, please let us know! We are here to help.

Referral Program: Share us with a friend. When a new family registers and mentions your name, you will EACH receive a $50 tuition credit. (Credit given after 2 months enrolled and there is no limit to the number of families referred!)
Parent Observation Week: November 12th-November 17th, we invite parents to come and sit in the classroom to see what your child has been working on in all dance and music classes. We will have enough chairs for each child to bring 1-2 people. If you plan on bringing more than 2 people, please bring chairs or they can sit on the floor! If you have a younger child that can be disruptive to the class, please watch outside of the classroom through our observation windows. Parents are welcome to videotape the dance at the end of class to use for practicing at home.
Fox 6 Coats for Kids: Join us in helping keep kids in Wisconsin warm this winter! Donation bins are available now through the end of November in the lobby area at both locations. We are accepting new and used coats and snow pants for Coats for Kids. All coats will be picked up and cleaned and then distributed to local children in need. APA donated over 50 coats last year and would love to double that number this year!

Changes from SMPAC for 2018: The School District of South Milwaukee are making a few changes. Please read below.
School Security during Regular School Hours
Our walk-up box office sales hours/policies changed earlier this year due to security/visitor procedures here at the high school. Currently, all walk-up ticket sales customers must use Door #7 (district door off of 15th Ave.) and present a photo ID. Hours for walk-up are M-F from 10 am to 1 pm. Phone hours are 10-4.
Postage for Mailing Tickets
In the past, we have not charged renters for postage to mail tickets. As you can imagine, the postage and supplies cost to mail tickets is substantial. Therefore, effective October 1, we will be charging $1.00 per order to mail tickets. Patrons have the option of printing their tickets at home or picking them up at Will Call the day of the show.
Electronic Tickets/Mobile Devices
Due to high patron volume and quick turnarounds for dance recital performances, we strongly recommend that all attendees present a printed ticket at the door. They do not have a ticket scanning system that would guarantee patrons would only be able to use electronic tickets (mobile device) for a single show or single person.
DVD’s: Our Winter Showcase is professionally videotaped and available for purchase. Forms will be available at the event. (The Spring Showcase includes a free dvd of the performance)
Volunteers: We will need a limited amount of volunteer’s back-stage to help with our little ones and volunteers do not have to purchase a ticket. Please contact the front desk if you would like to volunteer.
