COVID-19: How We Are Keeping Your Dancers Safe The APA Way!

September is just around the corner and we have made it our mission to keep your dancers safe the APA Way!

We know wholeheartedly how important it is for parents to feel reassured that their child is not only getting the best training but also that they remain safe and healthy in the process.

Whether you’ll be joining us for in-person classes or virtually through our LIVE streaming sessions, your dancer can be sure to receive the best training in a fun atmosphere!

Here at APA, we have established a set of guidelines for the continued health and safety of our students and staff during in-person classes.

These safety measures ensure that each student’s health and wellness is our top priority, while also continuing to create an educational and fun learning environment.

Our new Operation Stages will allow APA families to keep up to date on the current status of the studio and what your dancer can expect when arriving at their in-person classes.

Listed below are the following steps for our Operating with Modifications policy, currently being taken to ensure a healthy and safe environment for your dancer.

  • Lobby closed to visitors (anyone not enrolled in a class and coming to or leaving class)  *Students under the age of 5 that do not feel comfortable coming in for their first class alone, we will work with you so your student can adapt to attending class on their own.  Please remember that all of our recreational classes will be live-streamed so parents can still observe what your student is doing from our parking lot.
  • Classes shortened by 5 minutes to allow disinfecting, hand hygiene, and social distancing in-class transitions

  • Social distancing in classes by marked spots on the floor in studio rooms

  • Classes available in-person or online (live via Zoom) – families can choose their preferred delivery of classes

  • No shared props that cannot be easily and thoroughly disinfected after each use

  • No food consumed in the building (water bottles only)

  • Water fountains disconnected

  • Additional cleaning and disinfecting

  • Face masks are required for dancer and musicians and staff (per WI State Mandate)

  • Added hand sanitizer stations at each entrance, required hand hygiene at the entry to the building for all students and staff

  • Students and staff are required to stay home if they show any flu-like symptoms, a fever of 100.4 or greater, or if they have been exposed to someone with COVID-19.

With the world around us changing daily, we at APA are prepared with these operating stages to continue educating and serving our dance families.

Other operating stages include:

Normal Operations: Business as usual, with added precautions and daily cleaning. These include hand sanitizing upon entry to the building, making sure families and staff stay home with any fever or symptoms of illness

Virtual Operations: Facility closed, all classes and rehearsals taught by teachers at the studio or their homes to students at home. Live classes available via Zoom and supplemental material delivered online. The facility closed for in-person shopping, but online ordering and contactless delivery or pickup options made available.

Operations can all be found on our website and families would be informed of any operational change.

If your family is deciding to remain home during this challenging time, APA is fully prepared to bring the dance studio to your living room!

With our Tech-Enabled Studio™, we are fully equipped to stream our LIVE in-person sessions directly to you via Zoom and continue your dance education without missing a beat!

Students that need to stay home for any reason will be able to participate alongside the in-person classes and keep on track with their dance lessons, as well as interacting with their peers and teachers.

Parents with students that are taking in-person classes also have access via Zoom to watch their dancer during his or her lesson. While our lobby currently remains closed to visitors at this time, you can still support your child and watch their improvements and growth during their class time.

As we continue to venture forward, we know how important it is to sustain a sense of normalcy for your children and at APA we want nothing more than to make this goal a reality.

The APA Way was designed with our families in mind and making this transition as seamless as possible whether your family is choosing to join us in-person or virtually.

We are here for you. Growing together, not apart, the APA Way.
