Music Newsletter: June 2024

As we prepare for our end-of-the-year performances, we know a lot of questions may arise. If anyone is uncertain about any information, please feel free to call or text us. If you will not be joining us for summer classes, we hope you have a wonderful summer and we look forward to seeing you in fall for the start of our 20th year! Thank you for being a part of APA this past season and making it a great year! The studio will have limited office hours during the summer.

Join us this Summer!! We are offering (2) 4-week long mini GROUP class sessions. Pick between Session I and Session II dates or register for both to keep your student moving all summer long.  Session I will be June 17th-July 20th (w/ week of 4th of July off) and/or Session II July 22th-August 17th.

Yard Sign Contest:

Grab a yard sign from the lobby at either location and place it in your yard, THEN take a photo and share it to your Facebook or Instagram with the hashtag #APAproud! We will pick a random winner each month who will receive a $50 tuition credit. Winners are announced on our social platforms, and we’ll contact you on your post! First come, first serve!

For  Beginners Ages 9-13! Are you looking for an introduction to piano class for beginners – in a GROUP setting?  Students will learn how to read music and play familiar songs on the piano! Keyboard included for students to use!

Music Student T-shirt/Medal Pick-Up:

T-shirts, medals, and any 5 or 10 year trophies will be given to music students at the Spring Music Concerts on June 1st and 2nd.  If your student will not be in the Spring Music Concert, please respond to this email so we can set up a time for pick up.

Fall Group Music & Theatre Classes:

This upcoming school year, we will continue to offer several group music (Tiny Tunes, Music Jr., & Glee Pop Choir) & theatre classes (Drama Jr, Musical Theatre, & Drama Club). Summer/Fall Private Music Lesson Registration:

Private music students who did NOT opt out for private music lessons will be charged for summer tuition on 6/3 and will be charged for September on 8/1. If you are interested in transferring your summer or fall time slot, please call us at (414) 768-0101 as you are not able to do online transfers through your portal.

Do you have siblings in different concerts?  Due to multiple parent requests over the past year to make the recital experience better for our students, we have made the decision to schedule each student on the same day and during an act where their teacher can be present for them.  In the past we had put all siblings together no matter what, so many students would perform in acts where their teacher could not be present.  We have decided to make this change so all of our students can have their teacher present for support and encouragement. 

Due to the increased length of our performances each year, we have decided to have concerts on 2 days instead of only 1.  This allows our teachers to NOT have to work more than 11 hours in a row, and this also allows us to have earlier act times, especially for those students who are very young.

Due to both of the changes above, we will have some families that will be scheduled on both dates of the concert: June 1st and June 2nd, OR in 2 different acts on the same date.  These families will receive up to 4 FREE tickets to the second concert date/act.   If you are one of these families (see the link below) please email us your ticket receipt at [email protected] so we can verify your concert dates, and tickets purchased (up to 4) to put a credit into your account for up to 4 free tickets.

Student Absences:

Our music concerts are coming up soon! If your student is missing a lot of classes prior to an upcoming performance, please make sure they are practicing at home. If a student does not know their music piece, our teachers may ask that those students do not participate in our shows.

License Plate Winner:

Member Accounts:
There is a Member Log-in area on our website where you can see what your account has been charged, enroll in classes, etc. Every family has their own account.  Your username is the email address you gave us. If you need to update your email address, please contact us.

Referral Program:  
Share us with a friend! When a new family registers and mentions your name, you will EACH receive a $50 tuition credit. The credit will be automatically put into your APA account after the new family has paid for 2 months of enrollment. There is no limit to the number of families you can refer to APA!
