It is hard to believe that November is already here! We hope everyone who came to our Trunk or Treat had a blast! This month will be busy as we finalize and continue to work on our upcoming performance pieces. Please don’t forget that APA is closed for Thanksgiving break on Wednesday, November 27th-Sunday, December 1st. You can check out our calendar at the bottom of this email.

October Value: Age-Appropriate Classes
At APA and NSDS, we understand the importance of nurturing young students in a wholesome and supportive environment. That’s why we prioritize using age-appropriate costumes, choreography, and music across all our programs. This approach ensures that students can express themselves creatively while maintaining the respectfulness appropriate for their age group.

Cookie Decorating Classes!
Theatre Fundraiser – 2 Date Options OPEN!!!
An APA theatre department fundraiser Presented by Christine’s Angelic Treats! Sign up for this class where you will learn how royal icing is colored and used to decorate cookies. You will learn how to make the various layers of colors and design. Each person will receive 6 cookies to decorate and take home.
Dates & Themes to choose from:
– Saturday, November 16th @ 1:00-3:00 pm | APA Oak Creek | Thanksgiving/Fall Theme
– Friday, December 6th @ 6 :00-8:00 pm | APA Franklin | Christmas Cookie Theme
**Children ages 11 and under must be with parent and will count as 1 person. The cost is $35 is for parent/child attending, not per person. Students age 12+ may register on their own or with an adult @ $35/person.

Inside Out Dance Party!
Saturday, November 16th – Inside Out Dance Party
@ Next Step Dance Studio (sister studio)
12:30-1:30 pm| Cost: $25
Inside Out Dance Party for ages 3-9 includes a craft, games, and dancing! Join Joy, Sadness, and the rest of the emotions for this fun dance party! Dancers come in your favorite Inside Out-themed outfit or wear comfortable clothes that you can move in with socks or ballet shoes. Dancers will star in an end-of-the-camp performance that the parents can watch. Parents come into class the last 5 minutes of class for performance.

Student Absences:
Our winter music and dance recitals are coming up in December! If your student is missing a lot of classes prior to an upcoming performance, please make sure they are practicing at home. If a student does not know their music piece or dance routine, their teacher will ask that those students do not participate in the recital.
6-Week Group Music Mini Sessions:
The last day of our Session 2 classes will be on Monday, December 2nd, and the next session will begin on Monday, January 6th. Please see all of our NEW themes and class offerings below.

Tiny Tunes Ages 3-5: The last day of Session 2 will be December 2nd, and the next session will begin on Monday, January 6th, with the theme of Winter Wonderland.
Winter Wonderland: Singing songs about snowflakes, snowmen, and hot cocoa, while participating in winter-themed activities.
Music Junior Ages 6-9: Young singers will meet each week to gain confidence in their voices and musical abilities in a group setting. Your singer can look forward to fun warmups and games, as well as learning music concepts and songs from a variety of musical genres.

Saturday, December 7th and Sunday, December 8th
at the Saber Center for the Performing Arts in Franklin High School.
The exact performance time for each student, performance order, and all other final concert details will be emailed out to our music families by Thursday, November 7th. Tickets will go on sale HERE on Monday, November 11th at 10 am. *** We highly recommend that families print out their tickets, as it makes it easier to get through the ticket check on concert day.
Important Note: We will try to put your child on the same concert date as their teacher, with the only exception being if the child has multiple teachers, or siblings that take lessons with other APA teachers. Any families with musicians scheduled to perform on both dates will receive up to 4 FREE tickets to the second concert date.

Purchasing Music Books:
When it is time to purchase music books for your private lesson, APA offers 2 easy options:
1.) We order your books for you. Your teacher will put in your book order through our music department. You will be charged a $3 service fee for this option.
2.) You can purchase books through another site or store of your choosing.

You can see what your account has been charged, enroll in classes, etc. by going to our Member Log-In section on our website www.academywi.com or click HERE. Every family has their own account.
