Troops & scouts can earn their badge by participating in an hour-long dance sampler or music class!

More Information:

  • This hour-long class allows students to earn a dance or music badge while exploring different performing arts disciplines. Our Dance Sampler introduces students to Poms, Ballet, and Jazz, giving dancers the opportunity to explore multiple styles in a supportive and encouraging environment. Our Musical Theatre Sampler allows students to explore singing, acting, and movement through musical theatre in a group setting. Choose the option that best fits your group’s interests.
  • Cost: $5 per scout per session (Dance Sampler and Musical Theatre Sampler are priced separately). A minimum of 6 students is required, or a $30 flat fee applies if fewer than 6 students attend. Troops should submit one combined payment on the day of their event.
  • APA provides a special APA Girl Scout Badge for each participant. Troop leaders are in charge of all other steps needed to earn the badge.
  • These events are typically held on Saturdays and have limited availability. Requests are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Students do NOT have to have dance attire to participate. We ask that they wear any type of clothing that they can easily move around in. Students can wear clean tennis shoes that they change into after entering our building. Please no midriff-baring clothing.
  • No gum, food or drinks (except water) are allowed in the studio room. Students may bring a water bottle. Students may store their belongings inside of the classroom in the provided cubbies. APA and its staff are not responsible for lost or stolen items. No cell phones! Please leave valuables at home.
