December Value: Building Confidence!
At APA and NSDS, we encourage our students to try their best and build their confidence to empower themselves. This allows the students to take risks, pursue their goals, and embrace opportunities for growth and success in and outside the studio.

Students should arrive in full costume with hair and makeup done.

Cookies With Santa!

Cost: $25
Cookies with Santa is for ages 3-9 includes a craft, cookies, dancing, and a picture with Santa. This is an event you do not want to miss! Dancers come in your favorite holiday outfit or wear comfortable clothes that you can move in with socks or ballet shoes. Dancers will star in an end-of-the-camp performance that the parents can watch. Parents come into class the last 5 minutes of class for performance.

Theatre Fundraiser – 1 Date Left!!!
An APA theatre department fundraiser Presented by Christine’s Angelic Treats! Sign up for this class where you will learn how royal icing is colored and used to decorate cookies. You will learn how to make the various layers of colors and design. Each person will receive 6 cookies to decorate and take home.

**Children ages 11 and under must be with a parent and will count as 1 person. The cost is $35 for parent/child attending, not per person. Students age 12+ may register on their own or with an adult. If a student age 12+ and adult BOTH want to have their own set of cookies to decorate, the cost is $35 per person.

Student Absences:

Our winter music and dance recitals are coming up in December! If your student is missing a lot of classes prior to an upcoming performance, please make sure they are practicing at home. If a student does not know their music piece or dance routine, their teacher will ask that those students do not participate in the recital.
Snow Days:

APA will decide if we will remain open during a snow/ice storm. An email will be sent to all families by 3pm if we decide to close Monday-Friday or by 8am on Saturdays. PRIVATE MUSIC LESSON STUDENTS: please click HERE to view our makeup policy to see which music teachers will offer virtual lessons on snow days To receive updates, weather closures, and delays, please opt in by texting APA to (414) 240-8458. Even if you agreed to texts at registration, you still need to opt in using the instructions above.

“How to Survive the Holidays”
Our show will be held at the Saber Center on Saturday, December 7th at 6pm. This performance will include our Drama and Musical Theatre class students! *not 6 week students
Students performing in this show will have a dress rehearsal prior to the show at 3 pm and our show will start at 6 pm.
*Students are allowed time to bring a bagged lunch/snack to eat before the performance. We hope you join us to create this exciting show!

Drama Jr Ages 6-10: The last day of Session 2 will be December 2nd, and the next session will begin on Monday, January 6th, and it’s theme is Space Explorers.
Space Explorers: Blast off into outer space for an intergalactic theatre experience, where young actors will travel to distant planets, encounter friendly aliens, and embark on cosmic adventures.
Musical Theatre Jr Ages 6-9 & 9-11: The last day of Session 2 will be December 2nd, and the next session will begin on Monday, January 6th, and it’s theme is Wickedly Wonderful.
Wickedly Wonderful: Explore the untold story of the Wicked Witch of the West in this exciting musical theatre class! This class will sing songs from the hit Broadway show “Wicked” and bring the magical land of Oz to life through acting and dance.
Drama Dept. Dress Code:
ALL CLASSES (including mini sessions):
Please have students come dressed ready to move, ensuring your clothing fits properly to prevent wardrobe issues while sitting, dancing, or stretching. Please wear athletic shoes, or bring a pair of jazz shoes to change into (for Musical Theatre Classes). Crocs/sandals, heavy boots, and snow boots are not permitted for safety reasons.
