We hope you had a wonderful holiday break! After seeing our December performances, we are looking forward to our spring shows and seeing our students’ progress! We are so proud of our students for all they have learned in just a few months. Everyone did a fantastic job!
Special Note to New Members: We would like to welcome all of our new members joining us this January! If you have any questions, please feel free to call or email us, or see the front desk. If you have not received a Welcome/Registration email, please let us know! An APA calendar is available further down in this newsletter. Dance students will also receive information on our Spring Showcase and costume ordering details, or look under our Dance information below. Our registration cut-off date for group dance, music and theater classes for grades 2nd and older is February 15th.

Minion Hip Hop Party

Cost: $25
The Minion Hip Hop Party for ages 3-9 includes a craft, games, and dancing! Wear your favorite minion costume or something you can move in and learn some of today’s most popular hip hop moves! Dancers will star in an end-of-camp performance that the parents can watch. Parents come into class the last 5 minutes of class for the performance.

6-Week Mini Session III

Our 6-week mini sessions are a perfect opportunity for our students to try another style of the arts. We offer the following classes for our 6-week sessions:
- Ages 2-3 year old dance classes (with parent or without)
- Tiny Tunes & Group Music Jr
- Drama Jr & Musical Theatre Jr
- Age 3-10 Wicked-themed intro-to-dance Classes!

At APA students are rewarded for taking classes in all 3 of our performing arts categories; dance, music, and theater! The goal of this program is to encourage students to try new things and grow toward a well-rounded performing arts education.

Snow Days:
APA will decide if we will remain open during a snow/ice storm. An email will be sent to all families by 3 pm if we decide to close Monday-Friday or by 8 am on Saturdays.
PRIVATE MUSIC LESSON STUDENTS: Please click HERE to view our makeup policy to see which music teachers will offer virtual lessons on snow days.

Valentine's Heart Cookies!
Surprise your Student with a Heart Cookie during Valentine’s Week! A heart-shaped cookie will be delivered to your child in their class starting Monday, February 10th-Saturday, February 15th. Each cookie will be individually wrapped in a cellophane bag.

Did you miss our last holiday items? We have opened our store again AND have added the APA 20th anniversary shirt that all of our students received and added on a sweatshirt option. These items will be available for purchase until Sunday, January 12th.

Give the Gift of Performing Arts:
We’re excited to bring you a new way to give the gift of performing arts to someone you know! APA will have FREE gift cards handed out inside of the classroom, or for you to grab at the front desk, and GIFT to someone who is not currently attending APA!
This gift card gives them a full month of group classes (classes must have openings only, up to $79 value) at no cost to them. All you need to do is write your name and theirs on the back of the gift card and give it to them. They can call us, stop by either location or go online to register for the group class of their choice.
*Please make sure to have them mention they have a gift card promotion.* If they choose to register after their free month, and are enrolled for 2 months, you both will be eligible for the APA referral program credit! They must be enrolled by January 15th, 2025. This offer is for NEW students only.
Referral Credit + January DOUBLE Referral Month!
Earn up to $100!!! Any family that you refer to APA and joins will earn you BOTH a $50 credit. During the month of January, it’s DOUBLE Referral Month where YOU will receive a $100 credit (your referring family will receive $50). The credit will be applied after completion of 2 months paid registration from the new family.
Winter Dance Showcase DVD’s/Downloaded Links:
Everyone who purchased these – links to our performances will be emailed out from Zaker Video when they are ready. If you do not receive yours, please email your receipt to [email protected]. If you also purchased a DVD, these will be mailed directly to your address by mid-January.
Cold Weather Reminder:
Cold Weather Reminder: To aid in injury prevention, it is important that the dancer’s bodies are warm when they come to class. We recommend that students wear layers to and from dance class. Even though they may feel hot after dance class, it is important for their health to wear pants or leggings and a jacket.
Spring Dance Showcase Info!
Rehearsal Times: This information will be available by March. Rehearsals & pictures are set for Tuesday, June 10th through Thursday, June 12th @ APA’s Oak Creek location. Our Competitive Team Showcase (only competitive dancers) are scheduled for Friday, June 13th. Our recreational classes will perform on Saturday, June 14th. Our performances will be held at Oak Creek Performing Arts Center.
Showcase Costumes: We use the same costumes from our Winter Show for our Spring Show. If you are transferring classes and the new class does not use the same costume, you will need to purchase a costume for the new class.
NEW STUDENTS COSTUMES: Please click HERE for additional details on how to order and the deadlines.
Showcase Routines: Each class will be working on their new dance starting in mid-February. They will still be working on technique, across-the-floor combinations, jumps and turns. If your child is not participating in our Spring Show, they will still learn the dance, and will be strategically placed in formations so we do not have any gaps during the performance.

You can see what your account has been charged, enroll in classes, etc. by going to our Member Log-In section on our website www.academywi.com or click HERE. Every family has their own account. Your username is the email address you gave us. If you need to update your email address, please contact us.
