We hope you had a wonderful holiday break! After seeing our December performances, we are looking forward to our spring shows and seeing our students’ progress! We are so proud of our students for all they have learned in just a few months. Everyone did a fantastic job!
Special Note to New Members: We would like to welcome all of our new members joining us this January! If you have any questions, please feel free to call or email us, or see the front desk. If you have not received a Welcome/Registration email, please let us know! An APA calendar is available further down in this newsletter. Dance students will also receive information on our Spring Showcase and costume ordering details, or look under our Dance information below. Our registration cut-off date for group dance, music and theater classes for grades 2nd and older is February 15th.

Minion Hip Hop Party

@ Next Step Dance Studio (sister studio)
Cost: $25
The Minion Hip Hop Party for ages 3-9 includes a craft, games, and dancing! Wear your favorite minion costume or something you can move in and learn some of today’s most popular hip hop moves! Dancers will star in an end-of-camp performance that the parents can watch. Parents come into class the last 5 minutes of class for the performance.

6-Week Mini Session III

Our 6-week mini sessions are a perfect opportunity for our students to try another style of the arts. We offer the following classes for our 6-week sessions:
- Ages 2-3 year old dance classes (with parent or without)
- Tiny Tunes & Group Music Jr
- Drama Jr & Musical Theatre Jr
- Age 3-10 Wicked-themed intro-to-dance Classes!

At APA students are rewarded for taking classes in all 3 of our performing arts categories; dance, music, and theater! The goal of this program is to encourage students to try new things and grow toward a well-rounded performing arts education.

Snow Days:
APA will decide if we will remain open during a snow/ice storm. An email will be sent to all families by 3 pm if we decide to close Monday-Friday or by 8 am on Saturdays.
PRIVATE MUSIC LESSON STUDENTS: Please click HERE to view our makeup policy to see which music teachers will offer virtual lessons on snow days.

Valentine's Heart Cookies!
Surprise your Student with a Heart Cookie during Valentine’s Week! A heart-shaped cookie will be delivered to your child in their class starting Monday, February 10th-Saturday, February 15th. Each cookie will be individually wrapped in a cellophane bag.

Did you miss our last holiday items? We have opened our store again AND have added the APA 20th anniversary shirt that all of our students received and added on a sweatshirt option. These items will be available for purchase until Sunday, January 12th.

Give the Gift of Performing Arts:
We’re excited to bring you a new way to give the gift of performing arts to someone you know! APA will have FREE gift cards handed out inside of the classroom, or for you to grab at the front desk, and GIFT to someone who is not currently attending APA!
This gift card gives them a full month of group classes (classes must have openings only, up to $79 value) at no cost to them. All you need to do is write your name and theirs on the back of the gift card and give it to them. They can call us, stop by either location or go online to register for the group class of their choice.
*Please make sure to have them mention they have a gift card promotion.* If they choose to register after their free month, and are enrolled for 2 months, you both will be eligible for the APA referral program credit! They must be enrolled by January 15th, 2025. This offer is for NEW students only.

Earn up to $100!!! Any family that you refer to APA and joins will earn you BOTH a $50 credit. During the month of January, it’s DOUBLE Referral Month where YOU will receive a $100 credit (your referring family will receive $50). Drama Jr Ages 6-10: The last day of Session 2 will be December 2nd, and the next session will begin on Monday, January 6th, and it’s theme is Space Explorers.
Space Explorers: Blast off into outer space for an intergalactic theatre experience, where young actors will travel to distant planets, encounter friendly aliens, and embark on cosmic adventures.
Musical Theatre Jr Ages 6-9 & 9-11: The last day of Session 2 will be December 2nd, and the next session will begin on Monday, January 6th, and it’s theme is Wickedly Wonderful.
Wickedly Wonderful: Explore the untold story of the Wicked Witch of the West in this exciting musical theatre class! This class will sing songs from the hit Broadway show “Wicked” and bring the magical land of Oz to life through acting and dance.
Drama Dept. Dress Code:
ALL CLASSES (including mini sessions): Please have students come dressed ready to move, ensuring your clothing fits properly to prevent wardrobe issues while sitting, dancing, or stretching. Please wear athletic shoes, or bring a pair of jazz shoes to change into (for Musical Theatre Classes). Crocs/sandals, heavy boots, and snow boots are not permitted for safety reasons.
ANNOUNCING! The Summer Musical - Shrek Jr.!
Calling all performers and theater enthusiasts! Join us for auditions for “Shrek Jr..,” a heartwarming musical extravaganza! We are seeking talented performers ages 6-18 to bring this beloved story to life. Come showcase your talent and be part of an unforgettable production filled with joy, hope, and timeless music. While all who enroll are guaranteed a spot in our production, we will be holding auditions before the first rehearsals to cast all roles. Audition times and dates will be announced closer to the end of the spring session. Don’t miss this opportunity to shine on stage in “Shrek Jr.” – an adventure that promises to captivate hearts and leave audiences spellbound!
