Happy May everyone! We are getting so close to our Preschool Graduation!  As we come to an end we are already planning for next year. Every year, we send out a survey after our program is over. This is such a great way for you to leave us feedback. We would love to hear everything…. good, bad, etc. It is great to hear things you love, so we know to keep doing them, and it is crucial we hear about things you wish we changed. I personally read every single survey and share them with my staff. It is such a great way to make APA better every year.  We appreciate you taking the time to fill this out for us.

We know how many questions pop up this time of year, so please do not hesitate to call, email, or stop in. We are here to help and want to make sure you know what is coming up!

Wehr Nature Center A Possum’s Adventure. Tuesday, May 7th 9-10:30am.  The address is 9701 W. College Ave. in Franklin. You will see signs when you arrive, that ask you to pay at the desk for parking.  This fee was included in your admission, so you do NOT need to do this.  Please refrain from using cell phones. They should be silenced and put away.

Dress for the weather: Sturdy, proper closed-toe shoes need to be worn.  Rain, Shine, Sleet or Snow we will have the program. It is indoors and outdoors, so please wear appropriate layers.

Preschool Graduation ~ Thursday, May 23rd at Oak Creek Salvation Army
Oak Creek Salvation Army ~ 8853 S. Howell Ave. in Oak Creek (by Target)

Student Arrival: We ask that parents drop off students at 840am to practice before our ceremony starts. Please make sure students arrive with their cap and gown on and are ready to go by 8:40am. It is very important that they arrive on time since we want the students to have an opportunity to get used to the large space. It can be an overwhelming experience for some students so practicing helps them adjust to the setting. Cap suggestions:  For girls, it is best to wear their hair down or in a low pony tail so the cap can stay on their head. Using bobby pins or clips also help both girls and boys. The kids tend to move around a lot while waiting for the ceremony to start.

Attire: We have already handed out each student’s cap and gown for you to take home.  Please hang this up when you receive it so it does not get wrinkled.  Please keep all of the items together (cap & gown) and have your child wear this to Graduation. We will hand out the tassels at the ceremony.  Your child can wear any attire underneath their gown!

Family & Friends Arrival:  Doors will open at 9:20am.  We will not allow parents to have a seat inside of the auditorium until this time because we do not want any distractions for the students when they are practicing. Please feel free to invite any family or friends to see your child receive his/her diploma!

Ceremony Starting Time:  The ceremony will begin at 9:30am. There will be a short performance followed by the students receiving their diplomas. The ceremony should end by 10:15am.

Celebrate Mother’s Day at APA!  Mom and child(ren) will learn a fun dance together, get their photo taken in our photo booth, have story time and enjoy a snack together!    This event is appropriate for ages 4-8 with Mom, and open to boys and girls and the community.    Find out more and save your spot by clicking here.
