Snow Days:  APA will decide if we will remain open during a snow/ice storm.  We will use the school district’s verdict as a guideline.  We will email everyone by 3pm if we decide to close Monday-Friday or by 8am on Saturdays.  We will post on Fox 6, as well as our facebook page.  Because this is completely out of our control, we cannot provide make up lessons for each class, however, we will allow you to attend any group class the following week as a make-up.  Please stop by the front desk to schedule.

Cold Weather Reminder: To aid in injury prevention it is important that the dancer’s bodies are warm when they come to class.  We recommend that students wear layers to and from dance class.  Even though they may feel hot after dance class, it is important for their health to wear a bottoms and a jacket.

APA Students of the Month: Congrats to the following students –>

Music –  Alex Markowiak – Alex is a smart young man who has improved greatly since he began taking piano lessons last year. His attitude and work ethic make it easy to teach him. He works hard, but still enjoys himself and likes to have fun and laugh. I look forward to his continued growth.  Alex is nominated by Mr. Jake.

Recreational Dancer –  Mallory Michalski – “I love having Mallory in dance.  She is energetic, hard worker and gives her all every day.  She is also a great assistant.  She is patient and kind with all the dancers she assists for.  She is a great role model for them.  I have had the pleasure and privilege to watch her grow into an outstanding dancer and beautiful young lady! ”  Mallory is nominated by Miss Alyse.

Competitive Dancer –  Carley Whitt – Carley is new to the competitive dance teams this year, and she is flourishing.  She has never missed a class.  She comes ready to work hard, she takes the corrections in class and applies them.  She is always smiling and positive.  She challenges herself and her hard work is paying off!  She is a joy to have in class.  Carley is nominated by Miss Heather and Miss Danielle.

Winter Intensive w/ Master Dance Teachers:   APA is thrilled to bring two master teachers to the studio for the 2017 Winter Intensive!  Both are seasoned in performance and dance education and will be presenting a full day of dance divided into 2 levels – Beg/Int and Int/Adv.   Six classes will be offered, 1 hour each (1.5 hour ballet in the morning) and will include: Ballet, Musical Theater, Tap, Modern/Contemporary, and Jazz.  We recommend dancers be age 7 and up.  To register: Stop at the front desk or call the studio! Registration will close on 12/21 or when we are at capacity!  Click here to learn more!

Winter MUSIC Performance: Our winter music recital will be held at the Oak Creek Salvation Army on Sunday, December 10th starting at 1pm, 2pm, 3pm, 4pm or 5pm. We are currently collecting song selections from students & teachers and then will assign students their performance time.  Please check your email for our performance line-up on Monday, December 5th.  The Oak Creek Salvation Army is located at 8853 S. Howell Ave.  This is a beautiful and newly renovated space that seats up to 400 people.  This is a free event for students and any friends or family.  Please feel free to invite as many guests as you would like.  Each act will be about 1 hour.  Please have students dress in formal attire, no jeans!
