What a great start to the year! We hope that you were able to participate in our Bring A Friend Week! Registration for our dance classes closes soon so now is the time to add any additional classes or to have a friend register and get your referral tuition credit!
We know there are viruses going around so if your child is sick, please remember that they can attend any group class as a make-up.

“Spread the Love” APA Family and Staff Appreciation Month: We are so grateful to have you and your family as a part of the APA family! We will be celebrating our wonderful parents/guardians, staff, and students during the month of February! Parents and students will receive special treats and we invite you to help celebrate our staff members by writing a note on a paper heart that we’ll hang in our lobby.
*Week of February 10th: We’re celebrating our amazing students! Each APA student will receive a special treat in the classroom this week.
*Week of February 17th: We’re celebrating YOU, the parents! Make sure to stop inside the studio this week and pick up your special treat. Thank you for all you do!!!
*Week of February 24th: We’re celebrating our awesome staff! They’ll be gifted little surprises all week. We invite you to join in on the fun by writing a message (or two or three) on the paper hearts at the front desk. Students and families are encouraged to send their teacher(s) a note which we display in the lobby and then the teachers get to take home as a keepsake!

Referral Program: Share us with a friend! When a new family registers and mentions your name, you EACH will receive a $50 tuition voucher. The voucher will be mailed out after 2 months of paid enrollment and there is no limit to the number of families you can refer!
Logo Wear for Sale: You can place orders from our online store from the 1st-10th of each month. We do not have these items available at the studio. All orders will take 3-4 weeks after the store closing date and will be shipped for free to APA. We will notify you when your items are available for pick-up. Click here to order!
Music Spring Recital: Our Music Recital will be held on Sunday, June 14th at the Oak Creek Salvation Army starting at 1pm. Our students will begin to pick out their music later in the semester. Also, please feel free to talk to your teacher before or after class for a brief summary of what they are working on.
Cash for Classrooms: APA is proud to announce that we donated funds to a local elementary school teacher in the Oak Creek/Franklin Joint School Districts! Congratulations to Ms. Courtney Lidwin and her 4th grade class. They will be using the funds to purchase playaway audio books for the students to use in reading groups. She will be sharing the playaway books with her classroom and the entire 4th grade team. Congrats, Courtney!!!
License Plate Winner: Congrats to license plate 174-HLD. One of our staff members spotted your Academy window sticker while driving! Please contact the front desk so we know who you are and you will receive a $50 tuition credit. To participate, grab a FREE window sticker at the desk!
2020-2021 Oak Creek Preschool Open House: Registration opens February 1st for our 2020-2021 School Year session. Click HERE for details. If you know anyone interested in touring our Oak Creek Academic Preschool, we will be having an open house with Miss Amy and Miss Lisa on Saturday, February 29th from 1pm-2pm. Please register for our open house by clicking HERE. This program will fill quickly as we only have 12 spots available.

Dance Registration Cut-off February 15th: We will be closing our registration on February 15th. If you would like to take advantage of our multi class and/or sibling discounts, please see the front desk!
Spring Dance Showcase Information
Showcase Times are available for recreational classes by clicking HERE! We will have one show on Friday, June 19th and five shows on Saturday, June 20th. Technique and competitive classes will be announced in May before tickets go on sale.
Rehearsal Times: Rehearsals will be held at the South Milwaukee PAC on Tuesday, June 16th-Thursday, June 18th.
Showcase Costumes: We use the same costumes from our Winter Showcase for our Spring Showcase. If you are transferring classes and the new class does not use the same costume, you would need to purchase a costume for the new class.
NEW STUDENTS: If you would like to participate in our Spring Showcase, please contact the front desk immediately for costume ordering details. A $10 shipping fee will apply if you purchase the costume after the February 15th deadline.
Video of Recital Dance: If you would like to record your child’s dance(s) for the Spring Showcase to practice at home please do this IN CLASS during Parent Observation Week, May 11th- May 16th. APA will not be recording the class dances for the Showcase.

Showcase Routines: Now that we are getting closer to our June 19th and 20th Showcase, held at the South Milwaukee High School PAC, each class will be working on their new dance starting in mid-February. They will still be working on technique, across-the-floor combinations, jumps, and turns. If your child is not participating in our Show, they will still learn the dance, and will be strategically placed in formations so we do not have any gaps at the performance.
Please remember it is very hard for us to get siblings to perform together because we have 6 different Showcase times. We run an enrollment report from families that register prior to June 15th and TRY to prioritize in the order that you register.
