Hello APA families, happy October! We hope your child is settling into their class and, most importantly, enjoying it! At APA, our priority is that students learn, grow, and have fun. We believe in offering more than just arts education — we use the arts to help make great kids.
This month, students will begin working on their performance pieces (starting mid-October). Check out the Music, Theatre, and Dance sections below for details.

Parking Lot Reminders:
As the days get darker, we want to remind all of our families to please slow down while driving through the parking lot.
-Follow the traffic flow at all times.
-Do not park in the designated drop-off lanes.
-Many students are walking through the lot — help us keep them safe.
-We highly recommend parents walk younger students to and from the front door.

October 3rd – Glow in the Dark Party – @ Next Step Dance Studio (sister studio) – Friday, October 3rd 5:30pm-7pm – Cost: $25 Come join us for a night full of dance, games, and glow in the dark! Dancers come in your favorite glow-themed outfit or wear comfortable clothes that you can move in with socks or ballet shoes. Dancers will star in an end-of-the-camp performance that the parents can watch. Parents come into class the last 5 minutes of class for performance.

Join The Party!
Calling all Swifties! Join us on Friday, October 10 from 6:00–8:00 PM for a Taylor Swift: “The Life of a Showgirl” Pop-Up Listening Party hosted by APA & NSDS. This playful evening (no dance class required!) includes sing-alongs to Taylor’s newest album, glittery snacks, friendship-bracelet crafting, and fun photo ops. All ages 5+ are welcome (parents can join too!) — just $20 per child or $30 for child + parent. Current APA & NSDS families get $5 off – use promo code “Member” when checking out. Free Community Event: October 25th
Wear your costume, grab your candy bag, and join us at the Next Step Dance Studio parking lot for Trunk or Treat fun!
Get Involved! We’re looking for volunteers and businesses to help make our annual Trunk or Treat event a success. Let us know how you’d like to participate:
–Decorate a Trunk: Bring your vehicle, decorate, and hand out candy or business merchandise.
–Provide a Service: Offer a fun activity such as face painting, a craft, or another kid-friendly service.
–Business Handout Only: Share a flyer, coupon, or promo item (without decorating a trunk).

Halloween Spirit Dress Up Week
Saturday, October 25th – Friday October 31st: Have your student come to class dressed up for Halloween Spirit Week! Students are allowed to wear costumes as long as they can easily remove their costume if they need to use the restroom during class time.

Our APA apparel store is OPEN! Items are available for purchase from the 1st–10th of each month. Please allow 3–4 weeks for delivery. Music Lesson Tuition Reminders
-30-min private lessons: $117/month (APA closures already factored in).
-Tuition = total year cost ÷ 10 equal payments (Sept–June).
-June may have fewer lessons, but your monthly amount stays the same because it’s spread evenly across the year.
Purchasing Music Books
When it is time to purchase music books for your private lesson, APA offers 2 easy options:
1.) We order your books for you. Your teacher will put in your book order through our music department. You will be charged a $3 service fee for this option.
2.) You can purchase books through another site or store of your choosing.
