Fine Arts Preschool Newsletter – October 2017

We hope your child has settled in to his/her classes by now, but most importantly enjoying them! Our biggest priority is that your child is finding value and learning in class, but having fun at the same time! Being a part of APA, we want your child to experience MORE than just great arts education. You will see our Academy giving back and our teachers explaining why we do what we do and who we are helping. This month we are participating in Fox 6’s Coats for Kids. Read more about this by our donation buckets in our lobby. We are also doing a Free Trunk or Treat event on October 8th at both our Oak Creek and Franklin locations and asking those that participate to bring a canned good for The Salvation Army. As part of the More Than Just Great Dancing program that we are affiliated with, we don’t just teach kids to be great at the arts, we teach the arts to make great kids! Happy October!

Also, we do not want students bringing any accessories that need to be held in their hands (swords, fairy wands etc.) as they will be using their hands during our songs.

The Academy will hand out a pre-packaged treat for each child to take home.   If you do not want your child to receive a treat, please let us know!

Field Trips:  We will update you monthly with our upcoming field trips.  Some field trips take place on site at the preschool, while others are held off site.  Parents are responsible for transportation of their children to offsite field trips.  If you would like your child to participate in a field trip, but do not have transportation available, please see the front desk and we can help arrange carpooling with another parent.  We will notify you of specific times, cost and descriptions of field trips in our Monthly Newsletters.

Students who do not normally attend school on this day, can still come in on this day for the presentation but a parent must stay with the child and leave after the presentation. Any parents are welcome to attend the presentation. Please note that the fire departments have advised us that they may have to reschedule if they receive a fire call on our scheduled day. Unfortunately this could be a last minute decision.
