Music Lesson Make Up Policy:
Please make sure to read over APA’s music lesson makeup policy so you are updated before the start of our fall semester (9/7). Please click HERE to view the makeup policy.
Please remember that music lessons are charged each month for the amount of lessons scheduled for the month. For example, if there are only 3 Mondays in the month you are only charged for 3; if there are 5 Mondays in the month, you are charged for 5.
Snow Days:
On any days that our APA facilities need to close due to inclement weather, all music lessons will be offered virtually so students will NOT miss any lessons. Lessons will be held at their regularly scheduled times.
Purchasing Books:
When it is time to purchase music books for your private lesson, APA offers 2 easy options:
1.) We order your books for you. Your teacher will put in your book order through our music department. You will be charged a $3 service fee for this option.
2.) You can purchase books through another site or store of your choosing.
Community & Other APA Performances:
Throughout the year certain businesses and groups in the community, such as nursing homes, Goodwill Industries, Volition Franklin, etc. may request music performances by APA students for their specific events. Depending on the restrictions of the event, such as equipment available, length of performance required, requested performer age range and playing level, your child may be asked by their teacher if they are willing to perform. These performances are optional and by invite only, as we leave it up to the teachers to determine which students would fit the criteria needed for each event.
Zoom Links for Grades 1st & Younger Classes:
Only APA members may view our Zoom Links. Please check your email for the September members Newsletter, or contact us at [email protected].
Poms for Purchase:
Due to COVID, Poms students performing in shows are required to purchase their own set of poms for $30 – they may reuse poms from the previous year. To place an order, please see our front desk.
Dance Student Assistants:
You may notice in our younger classes there is a Student Assistant along with our instructor. Larger classes will have a Student Assistant helping the instructor and the students. Our Student Assistants are ages 10 and older who are willing to help in these classes. We would like to thank all of our Assistants for committing to our schedule for this year.
Dance Costumes Charged Monday, September 27th:
Dancers will automatically be charged for costumes on Monday, September 27th using your account on file. If your student will NOT be participating in our Winter or Spring Showcase, please let us know by Friday, September 25th. If you decide to order a costume at a later date, it is your responsibility to see our front desk to order this, if it is still available. Recreational costumes will be available to view online starting September 21st.
***Boys enrolled in co-ed classes, will receive costume information at a later date. Acro classes are NOT charged for costumes on this date because they only perform in our Spring Show.
Dance Recital Updates:
NOTE: We will not announce our showtimes until November as we are still waiting on capacity limits from The SMPAC and will wait until closer to the shows.
Thanks and we will see you soon!
