As we are fast approaching the end of our school year, our newsletters are especially important. Here are a few things to be aware of:
All of our APA students receive a Free t-shirt at our APA graduation ceremony. This year’s shirt is grey and the design is listed below. If you (parents) would like to order one, please pay at our front desk by Monday, April 8th. They are $20 plus tax, add $2 for 2XL or 3XL. T-shirts are unisex so they run bigger. Note: ALL Students will receive a FREE one. Parent t-shirts will be available for pick up at graduation as well.
We will be closed for Spring Break April 19th through April 25th. Group Dance Classes and Music lessons will resume on Friday, April 26th. Preschool will resume on Monday, April 29th. Please continue reading for more important information!
Preschool Open House: Do you know someone who is interested in our Preschool program in the 2019/20 school year? Let them know we are having an Open House on Saturday, March 2nd from 10am-11am at our Oak Creek Location. Remember, refer a new family to APA and both you and the new family will receive a $50 tuition credit after the new family has completed 2 months of classes.
Dental Visit – Rescheduled Date Wednesday, March 6th: They will arrive at 9:30am and will give a presentation until approximately 10:30am. As always, if your child does not attend school on this day, you are free to attend the presentation as long as a parent stays with their child.
Oak Creek Public Library Field Trip: Wednesday March 20th We will NOT have Preschool on Wednesday, March 20th because of our field trip scheduled at the Oak Creek library. Please meet directly at the library at 9:25am. Our tour will start promptly at 9:30am. The address is 8040 S. 6th Street in Oak Creek (Drexel Town Square). Please meet our teachers in the Youth area on the first floor in the Story Time Room. The field trip will last until approximately 10:30am. We will have a tour of the library with the Youth Librarian, Amanda Jacques, and then brief activities with Miss Amanda.
Spring Program: Our Spring Program will be March 26th and March 27th at 11AM. Parents and family may arrive at 10:45am (please wait in the front lobby), doors to be seated will not open until 10:55am.
Scholastic Book Orders: Book orders are due March 19th this month. They have great book deals this month! Check them out and place your order online: https://orders.scholastic.com/ML8VQ.
Community Easter Egg Hunt: Join us for our Annual Community Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 13th exclusively at our Oak Creek location! Our event will include a dance class and story time, along with our fun Egg Hunt for students age Walking up to 8 years old. While you’re there stop at our Bake Sale (cash only) and/or have your child get a festive glitter tattoo! We will have the Easter Bunny here to visit with students and take pictures! This event is open to the community so invite your friends and family. It will be held indoors so no need to worry about the weather! Click here for full details and to register!
Summer DANCE & MUSIC Classes Monday, July 8th- Saturday, August 17th: Schedules and ONLINE ONLY registrations will begin April 1st. Our summer session is 6 weeks long. Over the phone and in-person registration will be available starting April 8th. Online registrations are our preferred method of registering so you can complete everything in full. Register early! There’s less chance of your class being full or canceled due to low enrollment. We need at least 5 students enrolled in each class.
Chasing Tales Field Trip Sign Up Deadline is March 12th: Field Trip Date: Wednesday, April 10th. Arrival time is 9:15. This is an open play time at Chasing Tales in Oak Creek which allows the students time to play and have fun as the school year starts to come to an end. The fee is $6 per child, adults are free. Siblings are welcome to attend, but must also pay the entrance fee. Please sign up at the front desk no later than March 12th, 2019. Fees must be paid by cash or check only.
